Child Care Worker

The Child Care Worker is responsible for providing quality care and support to children in a safe and nurturing environment. The Child Care Worker will plan and implement activities that support the physical, mental, and emotional development of children. The Child Care Worker will be responsible for monitoring children’s activities and behavior, providing guidance on proper etiquette and manners, as well as enforcing rules and regulations as necessary.

Additional responsibilities include:
• Supervising children in recreational activities and providing assistance to them as needed
• Educating and encouraging children in appropriate behaviors and social interaction
• Setting limits and providing guidance when needed
• Responding to emergencies or difficult behaviors
• Organizing and leading activities such as games, arts and crafts, sports, and field trips
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment
• Preparing snacks and meals for children
• Assisting with homework or tutoring when needed
• Observing and documenting children’s behavior
• Communicating with parents and other staff members
• Attending meetings and workshops as required
• Completing reports and other paperwork as necessary
• Demonstrating good judgement in decision making
